Questions about Talmud study?

Rabbi Ginsburg,
In your videos on books for a Jewish library, you mention a one volume edition of Talmud study. Is there something on Amazon you would recommend? I've seen the volumes of books on some web sites that look like a set of encyclopedias, and they seem to come in different editions...I'm just confused.

Answer:
One book I suggest is Everyman's Talmud by Cohen
Everyman's Talmud: The Major Teachings of the Rabbinic Sages (Paperback)
by Abraham Cohen (Author) "As in the Bible, so throughout the literature of the Rabbis, the existence of God is regarded as an axiomatic truth..." (more)
Key Phrases: sixty demons, hundred zuz, endures for all eternity, Gan Eden, Holy Spirit, Day of Atonement (more...)

Its not Talmud study but good summary of views.

Its very hard to study on your own. Steinsaltz talmud series is the best if you want to try. Here is one volume of it
The Talmud, The Steinsaltz Edition, Volume 18: Tractate Sanhedrin Part IV (Talmud the Steinsaltz Edition) (Hardcover)
by Adin Rabbi Steinsaltz (Author)

9 used & new available from $55.00
