Note about Iran -editor's opinion only (Rabbi Ginsburg)

a. It was just revealed

Golda Meir wanted Allies to bomb Auschwitz
September 5, 2011

NEW YORK (JTA) -- Golda Meir, the future Israeli prime minister, wanted the United States and its allies to bomb Auschwitz, researchers have learned.

Researchers from the David S. Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies found documents in Israeli and American archives that shed light on Meir’s support for the unsuccessful campaign by Jewish leaders to persuade the Allied powers to bomb the Nazi death camp.

Amid reports of the deportations of Hungarian Jews to Auschwitz, Meir and a Histadrut colleague cabled the labor federation’s U.S. representative, Israel Mereminski, on July 29, 1944 saying that the Allied
powers must be urged to bomb Auschwitz and the railways used to transport Jews to the camp.

Mereminski replied that he had contacted the U.S. government's War Refugee Board, which conveyed to “competent authorities” their request for the "destruction of gas chambers, crematories, and so forth.

b. The world thanked Israel for bombing the Iraqi reactor in 1981 and said nothing negative about bombing Syria's a few years ago.

c. Clearly sanctions have done nothing to stop Iran from pursuing nuclear bomb ambitions and how can anyone seriously believe more sanctions will? What are we waiting for?????

See section 3 below about political action and my article

and video

When Iran nuks Israel and us. Why won't Obama stop them?

This is not ZOA's official policy but it seems so obvious to me.

There is no more importnat issue of our time. it is 1938 all over again and we are not shouting from the rooftops!!!

I'm spending Thursday at AIPAC headquarters for a day of briefing and lobbying with 40 rabbis from all ver the USA. I saw the advance talking points. MORE SANCTIONS. Not a word about military action. I realize they don't want Jews to be the only ones advocating bombing. I spoke on the radio this wekend to 10,000 USAVeterans. I said bomb bomb bomb.
